Traction pole with tourniquet
Insulated Tensioner
Used in anchoring structures at angles as insulation between jaws and cable tensioners. Conductor loads in large spans and “H” type structures sometimes exceed the safe capacities for the rod-clamp.
To supplement the clamp pole, attach the tourniquet to the conductor. This pole is also used to support the center conductor in “H” type structures when changing insulators or crossarms.
Made of RITZGLAS® insulating tubing and aluminum alloy fittings, for a better ratio of mechanical strength and lightness, the swivel eye has a bearing, allowing for perfect, smooth rotation.
The jaw edges of this tool are rounded to prevent damage to the conductors.
To meet a greater demand for tasks that require loads or a variety of conductor gauges, this tool comes in four head sizes and variations in tube lengths.
