Potential Contact Stick

Potential Contact Stick

Used to connect the tail of the conductive clothing to the energized conductor, in order to equalize the potential, avoiding any discomfort for the electrician when carrying out the work.

It is through the potential contact rod that (during maintenance using the potential work method) the electrician’s first contact with the energized conductor will be made. Likewise, at the end of the work, it will be the last to be disconnected, thus avoiding the occurrence of an arc flash on the electrician.

When returning to ground potential, the rod must first touch the structure in order to discharge the static energy.

Made from RITZGLAS® Ø 32 mm tubing with an insulating length of 340 mm, it has a resting handle for the pole and a connection for the “tail” of the conductive clothing.

Approx. weight: 1.60 kg (5.53 lb)

TYPE OF CONNECTION
Mobile clamp: its installation is done by twisting the pole, but allows the electrician to choose to remove the pole, leaving only the clamp installed. (This clamp has a head with a quick coupling device, which will hold the clamp eye firmly and securely).

Minimum opening: 12 mm Maximum: 48 mm
