Sectional operating rod
The purpose of the sectionalizing switchgear is to guarantee the necessary isolation and safety distance when maneuvering and intervening in overhead networks, by coupling tools with universal fittings, specially developed for the most diverse applications, such as:
– Maneuvering a knife switch;
– Maneuvering a fuse switch;
– Removing and fitting a fuse holder cartridge;
– Handling voltage detectors;
– Installing a “lifeline”;
– Installing and removing temporary grounding sets and live line clamps;
– Pruning trees;
– Cleaning networks;
– Changing light bulbs, etc.
Made from RITZGLAS® tubes, it consists of standardized elements: handle, intermediate(s) and tip (available in two versions depending on their diameter/weight: normal and light), which can be interchanged and coupled by means of a quick-release pin locking fitting, reinforced by metal rings, as well as a head with a cast bronze universal fitting, a steel butterfly-type clamping screw, nylon baton reinforcement sleeves and a rubber base terminal.
The total length suitable for each tension and/or working height is obtained from the number of elements.
