They make it possible to safely transform a hoist with a nylon tie rod into insulated equipment and thus use it in energized installations.

It has a steel safety hook at one end and a steel swivel eye at the other. The eye is attached to one of the hooks on the hoist or hooklift to ensure it is isolated from the grounded parts of the structure.
