Phase Tester
Phase Tester
Portable equipment that allows you to easily and safely determine rotation and phase comparison, as well as AC, phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground voltage readings on transmission and distribution circuits from 1 kV to 80 kV.
The basic unit consists of a galvanometer that takes direct readings from 1 kV to 16 kV and a reel with 6.50 m of shielded cable, mounted on two RITZGLAS® poles, which are the high-impedance units needed to enable the instrument to take readings.
For voltages above 16 kV it is necessary to use extensions (RH1876-4 for 48 kV and RH1876-2 for 80 kV). These extensions are screwed onto the end of the instrument’s pole and the reading becomes indirect, i.e. for 48 kV – full scale x3 and for 80 kV – full scale x5.
For 48 kV (RH1876-4) use one pair of extensions and for 80 kV (RH1876-2) two pairs. Length of each unit: 630 mm.
The purpose of the calibrator instrument (H1876/B-AFT) is to calibrate the phase tester before use, especially after a long period of inactivity. It generates a digital signal for the phase tester so that the user can compare the galvanometer reading with the value indicated on the tester’s display.
This gauge must be purchased as a separate product.
Its power source: 9 V battery.
