Insulating Rubber GlovesThis device is used to safely and economically disconnect circuits in distribution networks up to 25 and 36 kV, as it allows specific sections to be de-energized for maintenance.
The operation consists of installing this tool on conductors 1/0 to 336.4 MCM (Ø 10 to 18 mm), with live working procedures, at predetermined points. This allows de-energized sections to be released for a short period for maintenance.
The installation should always be carried out close to the structure and with live line procedures.
For greater operational safety, the positioning of the three temporary disconnecting devices should always be misaligned in relation to the adjacent tool.
This tool has the same characteristics as a conventional knife wrench, plus insulating components that make it suitable for this type of intervention.
It has hooks that make it possible to use an internal arc extinguishing device for greater safety.
